#PIONEER100: CELEBRATING THE ACHIEVEMENTS OF FEMALE PIONEERS, LEADERS AND INNOVATORS

This half-day event is something a bit different from what you'd usually expect from a business event. We're fusing art, culture and tech into one must-attend event.

Taking our cue from the celebrations around women gaining to right to vote 100 years ago, we wanted to take some time to reflect on the achievements made by women in that time. An art show will feature these women, which can be enjoyed over some drinks and biscuits.

You'll then experience a speaker line-up never seen before in Coventry & Warwickshire! The panel will debate "Is gender equality at work still the right conversation to be having?" Men - you're very much encouraged to join us too. This isn't a women only event.

Join the conversation online with #Pioneer100.

Cyber security for business

Did you know that the new General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) makes it a legal requirement for businesses to have Cyber Security systems and policies in place? It is therefore becoming increasingly important for organisations to not only maintain robust cyber security measures, but to also demonstrate this to clients.

This one-day workshop will provide a plain-English overview of the prevailing threats to the digital security of small businesses, as well as providing guidance on strategies for prevention and protection, and the importance of building digital strategy into core business processes.

You’ll also be able to  take part in an interactive session to have your say in how we can make the region the best in the UK for people who work in digital within or for public sector industries.

We already have a fantastic innovation culture and diverse tech talent in the region, as well as a thriving public sector economy, but we need to do more to really put the Midlands on the map. As friends, colleagues and people in similar worlds, your help is needed with this challenge!

DIGITAL 101: WHAT DON'T I KNOW?

DIGITAL 101: WHAT DON'T I KNOW?

The aim of this event is to help businesses (of any sector or size) understand what benefits 'digital' can offer them in their business. In fact, you don't even need to be a business: charities and community groups are very welcome to come along too. The common theme for attending would be that you don't feel confident or knowledgeable about how digital, technology, software or automation could help your organisation be more effective and grow. Perhaps, you'll then be able to identify solutions (that you hadn't thought of) for current challenges.

To bring this to life for you, we'll be using a case study about some work the local firm, IO Studios, carried out for another local business, Spaghetti Agency. Once you've found out what they did and the benefits it brought about, you'll also have plenty of time to ask questions about your own situation.

We promise - no jargon, no sales pitch.
